Yay!

Wow, things are serioucly coming along really quickly. I am loving it, and so are my professors. I do need to revisit my animatic a little... but I feel like i really know my story and I know how its going to work out. The beauty of 3d is that I am not locked into a certain camera angle from the start, I can jsut animate, and "discover" the editing that works best for me.

Anyways, here are a few more props that have been completed. One that is even by the sophomore student worker that has been assigned to work for me. She's great. Thanks Caitlin!!!

First, the star props of the show, the taiko drums! Odaiko, shime, and chyu:

And this is a metalic lantern that willhang infront of every house made by Caitlin:

Back to work

Back to work on my thesis. Pre-production has finally began in full swing. I am now working on a 3D animatic to complimetn the drawn one that I have already posted about... and I have started modeling set pieces, like this lovely pagoda!

Now that I have made it all nice and pretty, I get to go in and age it a bit... I am soexcited to be getting started for real on this project! Its been a year since I was struck with the idea... Now I have 27 weeks until it has to be finished!

The clock is ticking...

P.S. I've also made some standing stone lanterns, check it out!
